Valley water is hard on pools.

Fill water across the Salt Lake Valley carries a lot of calcium. Left alone, it builds up as white scale on tile lines, inside heaters, and around hot tub jets. Once it's there, it's slow and expensive to remove.

We test hardness along with pH and alkalinity and keep all three in range, so scale doesn't get a chance to form in the first place.

A year with us

Utah has four seasons. Your pool needs something different in each one.

  1. April – May

    Open

Cover off, equipment started and checked, water cleared and balanced before the first warm weekend.

  2. May – September

    Swim

Weekly visits through the heat. Hot days and heavy use burn through chlorine fast, so we stay ahead of it.

  3. September – October

    Close

Lines blown out, water lowered, equipment winterized and covered before the first hard freeze.

  4. November – March

    Soak

Pools rest, hot tubs earn their keep. We keep spas clean, balanced, and running all winter.

FAQ

Common questions

How often should my pool be serviced?

Weekly during swim season. Summer heat and sunlight use up chlorine quickly, and a week is about as long as water stays balanced on its own. Hot tubs do well with a visit every week or two, plus a full drain and refill every few months.

Do you handle emergency repairs?

Call us. If your pool is losing water, a breaker keeps tripping, or the water has turned green overnight, we'll get you on the schedule as fast as we can.

How do I know if my pool is leaking?

Some loss to evaporation is normal, especially in our dry summers. If you're refilling more than usual, set a bucket of water on a pool step and compare the two levels after a day. If the pool drops noticeably more than the bucket, it's worth a leak check.

When should I open and close my pool?

Most valley pools open in late April or May, once nights stay reliably warm, and close in September or October before the first hard freeze. Book early. Spring and fall slots fill up fast.

Can't I just balance the chemicals myself?

You can, and plenty of people do. Where it goes wrong is usually alkalinity and calcium, which are slower to move and easy to overshoot. If you'd rather not keep chasing it, a balancing visit or weekly service takes it off your plate.
